13th Annual Merkel Cell Carcinoma Dinner
On September 10, 2018 in Seattle, over 280 patients, family members, clinicians, scientists, and trainees from across the United States gathered for the 13th annual Merkel cell carcinoma Dinner Meeting. They enjoyed a lovely buffet dinner, music, lab tours and a presentation on the status of research and clinical trials in this cancer, sponsored in part by generous patients and donors.
This event is a way for patients from across the country to come together with faculty and staff to learn more about therapies and clinical progress of this rare skin cancer. It is not a fund-raising event, but rather, a time for reflection and a look at what’s next. The event is made possible by generous patient donations.
The evening began with a bit of social gathering, beautiful music (violinists Paul Nghiem and Max Lee) as well as poster presentations and lab tours. Dinner was then served, followed by a Presentation in the auditorium. The night capped off with a lovely dessert and coffee. The video presentation of the event is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2152&v=phgr_Jcso6U.
